To start off I just want to add our first opinions of each other... My opinion of Garrett was I thought he was totally shy and quiet because every time during home teaching he would just sit there and never say anything. Garrett's opinion of me was that I was a stuck up, high maintenance, pretty girl that wore way to much makeup and that always had to look good. Wow how first opinions can be SO wrong.
I was living in Logan when Garrett asked me out on our first date. We were going to meet in Clearfield for dinner but i was already planning on coming down for the weekend so I drove down to Sandy and met him at his house. When I got there he was working on his car so i was his assistant which really meant i just watched and tried to stay out of his way. When we were done working on his car we cleaned up a little and went out to dinner. We chose to go to Chili's. As we were being seated I was wondering how this was going to turn out cause I still thought he was kind of shy and quiet and I am quiet at first when I don't know someone really well, so I was hoping we weren't going to be sitting there eating in that awkward silence. Oh how I was wrong....He had plenty to talk about the whole time which was great. From then on I realized he is NOT shy. After dinner we just went back to his house and watched a movie. It was a fun first date!
