Three days after our 4th of July festivities Garrett and I went to the Foster the People concert at Saltair. Before this I had only ever been to country concerts so this was a little different. It was a really fun and energetic concert. Kimbra opened first for Foster the People. She was pretty good. While she was performing she made these crazy faces, so that kept us pretty entertained. Mayer Hawthorne performed next and wow that was a fun part of the concert. He is a great performer. He was rocking a red suit! It was awesome. Next it was time for Foster the People. Before the concert I didn't even know what songs they sung other than pumped up kicks. That was the only one I knew, but it was still fun. They have a ton of energy. So like I said before, I had only ever been to country concerts where you sit in a chair or maybe stand up at your chair. This concert on the other hand was totally different. When it started everyone was standing pretty close to each other and as the night progressed the crowd got closer and closer eventually to where people behind are pushing us forward and the people next to us are pushing us to the middle. It got very hot in there, but it was actually very fun. When one person started jumping everyone started jumping because we all were pretty much connected! By the end of the concert I was definitely ready to sit down and relax and get off my feet.
Garrett and I are in this picture somewhere!
Garrett invited me to come camping with him and some of his friends the next weekend and i figured it would be fun to meet some of his friends. We were camping up Provo Canyon at Deer Creek I think. We just stayed one night but it was fun to go and relax. All the food was prepared by his friends before hand so we seriously went and relaxed. Also Im not much of a camper, I don't love the idea of sleeping in tents cause I always freeze and its never very comfortable, and I don't love using the campground bathrooms, but at least we did have flushing toilets. However, this was probably the most comfy camping trips because we brought Garrett's love sac. It was amazing cuddling up on that around the campfire while everyone else was sitting on their camp chairs or a log. Anytime we got out of the love sac, one of Garrett's friends would jump in it for a few seconds until we came back. What a great idea it was to take it with us!
